Reasons to Do a First LookNovember 6, 2015
If you’re recently engaged and planning the details of your Destin wedding and reception, you may be teetering back and forth between the idea of a “first look.” For those of you who aren’t aware, a first look is a staged moment set up by your photographer. It’s for the bride and groom to see each other before the ceremony. (Yes, before the ceremony!)
Some traditionalists will say no, but here’s a few advantages to do a first look.
Number one, it eliminates the rush. No, not the adrenaline of getting married, but the stress andĀ the logistics of taking photos after the ceremony. Walking down the aisle will still feel exciting, but your mind is at ease. The pictures are done and you can focus on what is going on around you. Not just that, but it will give you more time with your guests. Rather than spending an hour taking photos after the ceremony, you can head straight to the reception to mix and mingle with your favorite people. After all, the day is going to fly bye, so why not take advantage of an opportunity to soak up every second with the people you love most?
