How To Welcome Your Destination Wedding Guests When You’re Busy

Destination Wedding Venues in FL

When you select The Destin Bay House as a destination wedding venue, your guests are no doubt excited to have another reason to visit the beautiful beaches of the Emerald Coast. After your guests drive or fly in, they’ll want to kick back and relax until the main event.

Meanwhile, you’re attending last minute fittings, meetings with vendors, and hopefully, squeezing in some quality time with your soon-to-be spouse. Guests understand the days leading up to the wedding are especially busy and while they’d like to hear from you, they won’t want to bother you. But you can still greet them in style, and without having to field a single phone call, with this thoughtful welcome bag idea.

  1. Order A Cute Tote In Your Wedding Colors

You can be as simple or as detailed as you want with the welcome bag design. Choose one in your wedding colors, or monogram it with your future last name (or both spouses’ last names if you’re not changing it). For something more personal, consider embroidering a phrase significant to your love story.

  1. Include A Letter of Thanks

Chances are, your guests have altered their schedules and incurred travel costs to attend your wedding. Graciously let them know how thankful you are for their presence. You don’t have to hand write each letter, unless you choose to do so. A printed note will suffice, but sign each one for an added personal touch.

  1. List Local Attractions

In Destin, there are so many options for girls’ days, guys’ time, or family fun, that you’ll want to let your guests know a few of them. Head to Destin Commons for retail therapy or a day at the salon. Of course, if you’re in the mood for activity, parasail, paddle board, or head to the water park. For more ideas, our event coordinator will be happy to share local favorites.

  1. Add A Map and Schedule

Provide your guests with a detailed schedule of events. If your weekend includes activities other than the rehearsal dinner and wedding, list meeting times, locations, and contact numbers. If you expect guests to cover the cost of any optional activities, provide the cost for those as well. Don’t forget to include a map to the Destin Bay House.

With these sweet welcome bags, your guests will feel as special as you do on the big day!
