Planning a Reception Seating ChartDecember 4, 2015
Are you working out the kinks to your Destin, Florida wedding reception? The seating chart is probably at the top of your list. It’s like a puzzle, but because it involves people rather than inanimate objects, it loses some appeal. After all, who really wants to mix and match personalities of loved ones and last minutes RSVPs?
We know it can be a lot to handle, so here’s what we suggest if your reception calls for a seating chart:
1. Don’t seat the elderly next to the band or DJ.
2. For large groups, it’s better to break them into two small tables next to each other rather than cram everyone together at one.
3. Don’t forget about children. A table for 12 and under often works well, but you may want to consider placing their parents nearby…
4. Mix things up! You don’t want to be to predictable on your wedding day.
